Mr and Mrs Clarkes cottage was in need of a new ridge as it was thatched in water reed around 10 years ago and needed a reseal and tidy up.
The Challenge
Mr and Mrs Clarkes ridge was two different heights either side of the chimney and they asked us if we could level them up without taking off the lead flashing and give the rest of the roof a good tidy up.
The Outcome
We stripped off the ridge and built up the lower side of the chimney and achieved a good level either side of the chimney. We tapped the roof over and also placed a patch in the valley due to failing reed.
